Parent Night Postponed (plus other info)

We will NOT be having a parent night on Tuesday night. I suspect some of you saved the date while others overlooked it. After just returning from a great weekend away, I also suspect many of you are as tired as I am, and a parent night in a 90 degree gymnasium sounds like no fun. So, we’ll postpone it temporarily.

One other point of business: On game nights when we are at HOME, please plan on having the players arrive at school by 4:30 p.m. It can take us quite a while to get the nets set up as well as having team devotions with all three squads.

Our home matches will all be played in the NORTH gym (the newer gym) while the JV match takes place at the same time in the SOUTH gym. The varsity match follows the JV match in the SOUTH gym.

We'll plan to do like we did last year, play each team twice; once with a controlled scrimmage, and the other time full out scrimmage.
We'll plan to finish up between 8 and 8:30.
~ We can call parents on our way home.

Since each of these scrimmages will be long nights over the dinner hour, I encourage the girls to take food and drink along. We’ll find plenty of time to consume it.

As for spectators at these scrimmages, you are allowed to show your face. With that said, it seems that not having parents around for these things keeps the nerves down a bit. You’ll have plenty of games where we hope to have your face and voice cheering us on! I’ll leave this to your discretion.
